Why private lessons?

Private lessons give you hands-on experience working with your individual dog while developing a deeper understanding of their behavior, needs, and communication. Together, we build the skills and problem-solving tools you need to navigate everyday challenges with confidence, even after our time together comes to an end.

At the end of the day, you’re the one sharing your life with your dog. My goal isn’t just to teach your dog new skills, but to help you understand how to work together as a team so you can continue building on your progress long after training ends.

My Approach:

I believe the best training starts with understanding your dog as an individual and building a relationship rooted in trust, teamwork, and clear communication. Through personalized, relationship-based training, we’ll work together to better understand how your dog experiences the world, develop skills that support everyday life, and strengthen the connection you share. My goal is to give you the tools and confidence to communicate effectively, work together as a team, and build a foundation for lasting success long after our time together ends.

I may not be the right fit if you’re looking for:

A quick fix. Meaningful, lasting change takes time, patience, and consistent practice outside of our sessions.

Obedience above all else. My approach goes beyond commands and compliance. I focus on understanding your dog, building communication, and developing skills that support your life together.

A one-sided learning experience. Training is a team effort- I encourage curiosity, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn alongside your dog.

A hands-off approach. I’ll provide guidance and support, but progress depends on your participation and practicing what we work on between lessons.

Harsh or intimidation-based methods. I do not use or support training approaches that rely on fear, force, or intimidation. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and trust are always a priority.
